After 48 hours of getting my head around the new functionality, the new blog is up and running. I know I should have done the development offline but it would have taken too long so I apologise for all the updates appearing on the IMCA site!

This baby is locked and loaded now with some really nice touches. As mentioned, Assassin resellers Felix and co. have set up a similar site using lots of tasty ajax plugins to great effect.

Looks aside, this new style of site has some incredible things like the moth events calendar.. It has a subscribe button which allows you to hook your local iCal application in to it. So any events that are posted automatically appear in your calendar/ iphone..

The blog is also laid out in more of a magazine style format to make for easy navigation. The stories are all accompanied by thumbnails as well which helps to identify the interesting stuff.

Next step is to continue exploring the possibilities and adding content in an organised fashion. ie. there is already a videos section and a couple of image galleries which will be followed by a whole load of useful and most importantly, practical stuff especially for beginners or people thinking about joining the class.
