Saturday saw me take a trip to Southampton to visit Javi and Jordi who managed to return to the uk after the volcanic mayhem. We spent the afternoon catching up and discussing all sorts from making foils to building moths and moth sails. I was also there to to pick up the new cover built by Javi over at his place in Spain. I must say, it’s a pretty impressive cover if there is such a thing! The material is heavy duty and the workmanship is excellent with a great deal of attention to detail.
He made the cover “remotely” ie. I sent him the dimensions and he built it blind so you can imagine how happy I was to see that it fit perfectly!
I’ve been encouraging Javi to start selling his stuff as it’s pretty damned good and better than a lot of stuff I’ve seen.He has agreed and will be working out prices and details in the next few weeks.
Professor Jordi then showed me some of the stuff he was working on which included a carbon wall thickness calculator! You enter the type of resin you are using, they type of cloth and weight and hey presto… wall thickness to order!
For them it’s now heads down for exams in the next few weeks and then back to Spain to continue with the ninja build over there.

Hi Phil
I think that you need to put more tension in the edge cover webbing.
See you
Javi
Javi, Phil did try to put more tension on the webbing strap but he blistered up his office hands!! I`ve got him a pair of pink gardening gloves to wear at the launch of his new boatie !!!! lol
