There I was getting all excited about finishing off the hull when I realised that I’d not even thought about the trolley cradles. All the more important considering that the molds are going on sunday so the boat will need a place to rest.
One thing I learned this week.. I need serious lessons in polyester resin application. I made the first cradles using polyester and they were rubbish… dry spots a plenty and just poor. I know it’s only a trolley but I’ve got a thing about attention to detail.
So the polyester ones are now in the pile waiting to go to the tip and I built the new ones from epoxy. (I know you’ll think it’s a waste of good epoxy but I still have six kilos left of the stuff!)
I drew a line when Jonnie recommended that I built the cradles out of carbon!
Back to sanding and filling now as I am planning to spray the final coat on Saturday.
